We offer tutoring for the online  BUAD 520 Financial Management course at the School of Business and Management at the Southern Adventist University. This is an intermediate level finance course with students expected to know the basics of finance before they join the course. The prerequisite for Financial Management – BUAD 520 online  is FNCE505 Principles of Finance or any other course that introduces students to the basic concepts of finance including the time value of money, cost of capital, discounted cash flow, etc.

The prescribed text book for Financial Management – BUAD 520 online is the popular text book “Financial Management – Theory and Practice” by authors Brigham and Ehrhardt. This course also requires a case study book “Cases in Financial Management – Toward Value Creation” by Klein, Linda, and Brigham or the equivalent.

Because Financial Management – BUAD 520 online is an online course, students are expected to learn on their own from the lectures posted online and the textbook. Q&A sessions are scheduled with the professor each week to address questions. Students are expected to be knowledgeable on both the text and lecture material for the tests and exams. This course also requires you to be comfortable using Microsoft Excel.

This is an intermediate course. Case studies are used widely in the Financial Management – BUAD 520 online course.   Students are to be comfortable with the finance theory taught. Memorizing approaches or formulae are not the objective and the case studies bring real life situations to the classroom to teach students to think with financial frameworks like they would in real life.
